MUGABE LEAVES NIGERIA AFTER PRESS HARASSMENT

TUESDAY 2ND JUNE 2015

PRESIDENT Robert Mugabe is now in Sudan for Tuesday's inauguration of President Omer Hassan al-Bashir after his security team twice failed to protect him from embarrassment in Nigeria.

The Zimbabwean leader arrived in Khartoum from Equatorial Guinea after he was humiliated by Nigerian reporters during his visit to the country for the presidential inauguration last Friday.

A video has since gone viral showing Reporters confront President Robert Mugabe during the inauguration of Muhammadu Buhari, seeking answers on when the 91-year-old leader would relinquish power and pave the way for change in Zimbabwe.

The ambush by journalists who hectored and badgered him over his 30+ years in power, asking when Zimbabweans might invite the world to witness a change of leadership in Harare. It is said that this ambush probably forced Mugabe to leave Nigeria for Equatorial Guinea where he spent the weekend before flying to Khartoum on Monday.
