FAAROW-THE SINGING SISTER ACT

FAAROW-THE SINGING SISTER ACT
UPCOMING DUO ARE TO WATCH OUT FOR!

FRIDAY 17TH APRIL 2015

Iman and Siham Hashi, make up the duo FAAROW. Iman meaning ‘FAITH’ and Siham, meaning 'ARROW’. They were born in Mogadishu, Somalia and fled to Canada as refugees with their parents when civil war broke out.

Why FAAROW?
Listeners and media surrounding FAAROW have discovered their unique fusion sound. Siham describes FAAROW’S music: “Our music before was experimenting with Afrobeat sounds but now it's more of a fusion (of what) we are inspired by. It's pop with undertones of hip hop and rhythmic African percussion. It's a fusion of everything”. – sourced from http://www.faarrow.com/

The sister’s work consists of blends of different genres fused into one track, their covers include ‘AM I WRONG X DANCE WITH SOMEBODY’, the originals by Nico & Vinz and Whitney Houston- two completely different sounds, but Faarow make it work!

Hashi sisters were met with great success within only 6 short months when they moved to Atlanta where they caught the attention from Universal Motown, after some time there with no debut the pair decided to move to Los Angles as free agents and continue to make music where they got into discussions with Warner Brothers Records.

The duo have recently signed to WARNER BROS RECORDS and are working with their producer + partner Elijah Kelley on their major debut album.
