Mansour Bellow
Presenter
Mansour’s passion for media emerged at the tender age of 15 and since then it’s been an ongoing journey which continues to go from strength to strength. Year ten was a panicle turning point for Mansour, he was lucky enough to gain work experience as a runner at ‘Power house film and television’ and worked on such shows as CD: UK which was presented by Cat Delay. The company was impressed by his energy, his eager attitude to learn and listen and engage with people. Mansour soon realised the potential he had for being a presenter, with his witty attitude he set out to pursue a career in this industry. His arrival at OH is inspiring, Mansour was in his second year of university studying media studies, he soon realised that university was not for him and had a stronger yearning for practical experience. Shortly after dropping out, he began wondering what his other options where. It was a particular Sunday after church in which Mansour was introduced to a certain Patrick Campbell the creative director of OHTV, who in seeing his passion and determination after Mansour’s consistent hassling, Patrick offered him work placement. In the space of 8 months, Mansour has moved from strength to strength starting as an intern and becoming a researcher for OH’s biggest shows. Not only does he co- present ‘Afrika rising’ with Lola Ogunbadejo, he has also hosted in ‘Amped up’, ‘OH happy day special’ and much more.
Mansour lays his success and continued drive to two things, God and his mother, growing up in a single parent home and being the only child Mansour has seen his mother’s determination to provide the best for him against all odds. His upbringing has instilled in him a inner determination to continue on and in his own words ‘ it’s not about how you started but how you finish, which matters, so never give up on your dream’ . He is frequently asked what he thinks his biggest achievement at OHTV, ultimately for him ‘it has been being able to go from strength to strength.
